Planning a low-crime social environment for Albury-Wodonga

Abstract

This seminar aims to commence planning for a low-crime social environment in Albury-Wodonga, with an emphasis on enabling maximum feasible local participation. It is the first stage in the planning process and brought together both local residents and crime prevention authorities to consider the issues involved. It comprises seven workshops attended by local participants and visiting consultants. The workshops cover the law and its enforcement; recreation and leisure; education and child care; treatment of offenders; alcoholism and drugs; physical facilities; and the media.
