Abstract
Community policing in Australia and overseas is examined in detail. Community policing policies and initiatives in the USA, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand are discussed, along with developments in Victoria and Queensland. Chapters cover police-community interaction, crime prevention planning, community views of police, police performance and implications for the future.
