Abstract

This study provides data pertaining to selected dimensions of police health over time and compares them with those of other occupations or other police agencies in Australia and overseas. It covers murders, shooting and bombing of police; accidental deaths while on duty; other causes of death; assaults on officers; ill-health retirements; and health support in police agencies.
