Abstract
This report is presented as a summary of the main report and presents an overview of correctional legislation within Australia's states and territories, and Papua New Guinea. It also compares Australian and Papua New Guinea prison security, prison industries and programs, payment of wages to prisoners, non-custodial correctional programs, correctional statistics and inmate classification, and prison infrastructure development. It provides recommendations.
