Abstract

Senior administrators in charge of prisons and other correctional institutions in the Asia Pacific region come together to discuss various matters relating to prison administration. This is the seventh Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators. Agenda items covered within the conference include the management, accommodation and facilities for remandees; draft standard minimum rules for the treatment of prisoners in Asia and the Pacific; educational opportunities in prison; international transfer of prisoners; and providing employment for prisoners.
