Abstract
Senior administrators in charge of prisons and other correctional institutions in the Asia Pacific region come together to discuss various matters relating to prison administration. This is the fifth Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators. Agenda items covered within the conference include the use of technology in prisons; role of volunteers in prisons in relation to programs for inmates; problems of the physically and mentally disabled in prisons; mechanisms use to monitor crime and incident rates in prison systems; and the definition of recidivism by jurisdictions.
