Regional developments in corrections: proceedings of the second Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators, Bangkok, 6-10 July 1981

Abstract

Senior administrators in charge of prisons and other correctional institutions in the Asia Pacific region come together to discuss various matters relating to prison administration. This is the second Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators. Agenda items covered within the conference include costs and benefits of prison labour; offenders remanded in custody or prisoners who are appellants and who have a right to special facilities; status and future of human rights for prison personnel; prisoners' exchange arrangements in Asia and the Pacific; problem of drugs and drug offenders in prisons; and accreditation and international status.
