Abstract

Senior administrators in charge of prisons and other correctional institutions in the Asia Pacific region come together to discuss various matters relating to prison administration. This is the twelfth Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators. This report provides a summary of the discussion that occurred during the formal conference sessions. Topics discussed include prisoner health issues; new developments in community corrections; private industry and prison management; and international cooperation in corrections.
