The study was commissioned and funded by the Commonwealth Government Attorney-General’s Department and forms part of the National Identification of Identity Crime and Misuse project that is being conducted pursuant to the National Identity Security Strategy. The survey was developed with input and advice from the members of the National Identity Crime and Misuse Framework Working Group, led by the Attorney-General’s Department. Data collection was undertaken professionally and efficiently by i-Link Research Solutions, a market research consultancy firm that provided a panel of individuals drawn from across Australia who were asked to complete the survey.
