Drug Use Monitoring in Australia (DUMA) interactive data tool

Welcome to the DUMA interactive data tool. The tool allows you to do basic manipulation of some core elements of DUMA data and create charts and tables.

You can use the data tool to search and undertake basic analysis on areas such as:

  • the proportion of alleged offenders who have tested positive to a range of illicit drugs
  • the age and sex of alleged offenders who have tested positive to drugs and
  • the main offences for which people have been apprehended over time.

Things to consider when using the tool

As with all data collections, it is important to understand the limitations and nature of the collection. This means you can better interpret the results. For example, in the DUMA collection, the number of sites where information is collected has grown over time and this may have a bearing on your results from the tool. For more information about the DUMA collection see the Drug use monitoring in Australia webpage.

To start using the tool, please accept these conditions of use

It is recommended that users exercise their own skill and care when using the interactive DUMA data tool and should contact the Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) for any advice they consider necessary.
