Problem oriented policing is a method used by the South Australian Police to address specific problems. Operation Mantle was developed to address drug problems and related criminality, and to reduce the incidence and severity of the symptoms. This paper presents the results of Operation Mantle. It indicates that Operation Mantle was successful in arresting the increasing rates of drug specific and drug related crime.
