The Australian Institute of Criminology is organising a major conference titled The First Australasian Women Police Conference, to be held in Sydney from July 29 to 31, 1996.

The conference will bring together experts in the area from both Australasia and other countries to discuss the role of women in modern policing.

The conference plans to cover many areas including:

police culture; gender perceptions; work behaviour and health; industrial relations; career paths; working conditions; EEO strategies; management strategies; and future directions.

The conference registration fee for the three days is $195.
