Presentation overview

This presentation will introduce and discuss the work of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Council of Australia, including its projects: the National Resource Centre, Drug Action Week, RADAR (Register of Australian Drug and Alcohol Research), and the recently launched National Inhalants Information Service.

The National Resource Centre employs professional staff and houses the most comprehensive collection of AOD material in Australia. The presentation will detail the assistance the National Resource Centre can offer those needing occasional access to quality information on alcohol and other drugs.

The presenter

Jane has more than 16 years' experience in working in health libraries, with the past five years at the National Resource Centre (NRC) of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA). In her time with the NRC, she has introduced and project managed RADAR and the National Inhalants Information Service. She has also produced a number of publications for the AOD sector and is a keen advocate of evidence-based practice and of library skills for AOD workers.
