  1. Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Overview Committee. 1996, The First Report of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Overview Committee: An Agenda for Action, Department of Families, Youth and Community Care, Brisbane.

    This is the first independent report of the Queensland Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Overview Committee since the appointment of the membership in December 1992 by the Queensland Government. This first report is current to 1 January 1996. The collective role of the Overview Committee is essentially that of constructive critic and watchdog. They note that there are many positive outcomes from the RCIADIC recommendations but, in the main, there is much to criticise.

    This is the progress report to December 1993 of the Queensland Governments implementation of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody recommendations. The report was tabled in the Queensland Parliament on 13 April 1994. The 1993 Report is comprised of three volumes. This second volume is a report on the policies and programs of Queensland Government Departments/Agencies. Questionnaires used in this volume of the report were designed to assess the extent to which the Departments of the Queensland Government have operationalised the recommendations of the RCIADIC. The data obtained provides information to assist interested parties to know of the extent of the Queensland Government implementation.

    This is the progress report to December 1993 of the Queensland Governments implementation of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody recommendations. The report was tabled in the Queensland Parliament on 13 April 1994. The 1993 Report is comprised of three volumes. This first volume is a Summary Report outlining background to the Queensland Government Progress Report. It addresses the immediate causes of deaths in custody and the underlying issues. Appendices include a report by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Overview Committee and the Terms of Reference of the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Interdepartmental Committee, Overview Committee, the Deaths in Custody Secretariat and the Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee.
